Yoga Descriptions

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga that links movement to breath. Postures are held for 5 breaths after which follows a flowing sequence of poses. Each Vinyasa class works on the whole body with a particular focus on the breath to stretch and tone muscles while calming the mind. Vinyasa is often described as a moving mediation. 

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga follows a more restorative practice perfect for the older body, people working with injuries or pain and those wanting a slower class. 

 

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, Yin aims at cultivating awareness of one's inner silence, eventually bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. 

Mommy and Baby Yoga

This is the perfect class to help you get back into your yogic practice and counter the months of pregnancy and post birth while enjoying time with your little one. We will focus on building core strength and releasing tension from sleepless nights and feeding schedules. Baba will love the attention as you play together. Private Classes Only.

Pregnancy Yoga

This class will help you building up vital strength and openness needed for the birthing process, while helping to relax you and increase confidence in your changing body. You are welcome to join at any stage in your pregnancy whether you have practiced yoga before or not. This class is offered on a private basis only either one on one or with a group of your friends. Pregnant women are welcome to join regular Vinyasa classes too as modifications are given.
