There are a few considerations to take note of before you attend your first class

  • Arrive a few minutes early. It is difficult for yourself and others to settle if there is disruption at the beginning of the class. 

  • Please do not ring the bell during class. If you are joining the 6:15 class please only ring AFTER 6pm.

  • If you are late, please wait for the meditation to end before entering so as not to disturb the others. 

  • All cell phones on silent please!

  • Put all bags, shoes and other personal items in the lockers. Keep the floor clean and free of clutter.

  • Please sign in. If you are new please sign an indemnity form. 

  • ​Practice on an empty stomach. Wait at least two hours after eating to ensure maximum comfort during class.

  • Don’t push or strain yourself into pain.

  • If you are brand new stand somewhere near the middle of the room so you can see what is happening around you.

  • It is your responsibility to inform the teacher about any medical issues, injuries or if you are pregnant.

  • Bring your own mat for maximum comfort. You can rent a studio mat and towel if you don't have your own mat. 

  • ​Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in (gym type stuff). We don't wear shoes during yoga or pilates.

  • We Om in this studio. Om is the sound of connection to all living beings. It is not a religious sound. If you are still uncomfortable with Om-ing you are welcome to sit quietly. 

  • MOST IMPORTANT- Don't take yourself too seriously. Yoga is about learning and we are all students here.
