Description and Schedule

Yummy & Healthy is a cooking and yoga retreat in the spectacular private natural surroundings of Pumula Retreat Centre on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal. Following natural rhythms set by the Indian Ocean and our circadian cycles you will be guided to a place of deep nurture with Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Nourished by lovingly produced plant based foods and surrounded by like minded people you will be able to safely allow stress, tension and negativity to melt away. We will discuss the principles of a healthy plant based diet and we will guide you through new recipes by preparing together 2 lunches and 2 dinners.

Leave lighter, brighter, happier and empowered with useful tools to revitalise, nourish and nurture yourself on and off the mat and back home.

Retreat Facilitators

Meet our Chef – Kristin Mac Kenzie

Kristin is passionate about creating delicious nutritious food. She has been a vegetarian since childhood and became a vegan as a teenager. These were lifestyle choices made from a deep sense of connection with animals and a desire to live more gently on the Earth. As a young woman, she experienced a health crisis that put her on the path of nutritional healing. She became an apprentice on an organic farm where she learned to grow and prepare food and has been living a "garden to table" lifestyle ever since.  When she is not in the garden or the kitchen she loves to practice yoga, Reiki and 5 Rhythms.

Meet our Yoga Teacher - Charlize Tomaselli
